About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in cabinetmaking, shopfitting, or architectural joinery to join a well-established and highly respected commercial joinery business operating across NSW, QLD, ACT, and WA.
This role is ideal for someone who understands joinery manufacturing and installation processes and is looking to move into or further develop their career in commercial estimating. You will be working across a strong pipeline of corporate office fitouts, retail environments, hospitality projects, and large-scale commercial joinery packages.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural and construction drawings to prepare accurate quotations
• Develop detailed cost estimates for architectural joinery packages
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders and pricing proposals
• Liaise with builders, architects, and project stakeholders
• Support sales outcomes through follow-ups and client communication
• Monitor material pricing trends and market conditions
• Assist in achieving sales and margin targets
• Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism
• Work closely with project management, design, and workshop teams

 
About You
We are open to two strong candidate profiles:
Option 1 - Estimator Background

• Experience as an Estimator in joinery, shopfitting, or cabinetry
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Experience preparing commercial tenders and pricing submissions
• Understanding of commercial fitout construction processes

 
Option 2 - Trade Background (Training Provided)

• Qualified Cabinetmaker / Joiner
• Strong understanding of architectural joinery and manufacturing
• Interest in transitioning into estimating and commercial work
• Willingness to learn and develop estimating capability
