Installer / On the Tools Site Manager Required | South-Western Sydney NSW | Full-Time & Permanent | $110,000 – $130,000 + Super | Joinery & Interior Fit-out

Our client is a well-established commercial joinery and interior fit-out manufacturer with over 40 years of industry experience.
They specialise in:

Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in South-Western Sydney, the business delivers high-quality projects across hospitality, corporate, retail, and commercial sectors throughout Sydney and interstate.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced On the Tools Installer / Site Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
  
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced commercial joinery installer who is equally comfortable:
  • managing installation teams onsite
  • coordinating site activities
  • reading drawings and resolving issues
  • actively installing joinery and cabinetry themselves
You will be responsible for supervising installation crews while remaining actively involved on the tools to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.
The role will involve working across a variety of premium commercial and hospitality projects throughout Sydney.
  
Key Responsibilities
Site Installation & Joinery Works
  • Install commercial joinery, cabinetry, wall panelling, custom furniture, and architectural interiors
  • Carry out detailed onsite fit-offs and finishing works
  • Interpret shop drawings and installation documentation
  • Ensure installations are completed to specification and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve onsite installation issues proactively
Site Management & Supervision
  • Lead and supervise site installers and subcontractors
  • Coordinate daily site activities and installation sequencing
  • Manage workflow and labour allocation onsite
  • Liaise with project managers, builders, and other trades
  • Conduct toolbox talks and maintain standards of site safety
  • Ensure projects are delivered within programme deadlines
Quality & Safety
  • Maintain high workmanship standards across all installations
  • Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and site procedures
  • Conduct quality inspections and defect rectification
  • Ensure safe use of tools, machinery, and installation equipment
  • Maintain site cleanliness and organisation
Coordination & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with factory, project management, and site teams
  • Report project progress, variations, and site issues
  • Assist with delivery coordination and material handling
  • Support smooth project handover and completion
  
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
  • Proven experience in commercial joinery installation
  • Previous experience leading or supervising site teams
  • Strong understanding of commercial fit-out environments
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving ability onsite
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • White Card
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example
  • High attention to detail and workmanship quality
Highly Regarded
  • Experience in hospitality and high-end commercial fit outs
  • Cabinet making or shopfitting trade background
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
  • Knowledge of WHS compliance and site safety procedures
  • Forklift, EWP, or additional site tickets
  • Experience with premium bespoke joinery installations
