Our client is a highly regarded WA Tier 2 Commercial Builder with an established reputation for delivering quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, government and industrial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work, delivering projects typically valued between $5 million and $60 million, they are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and drive their health, safety and environmental function.

The Role

The Role Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the company's HSE function, providing leadership, guidance and support across multiple live construction projects throughout Perth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and promoting a positive safety culture across the business.
• Supporting Project Managers and Site Managers with HSE leadership and compliance.
• Conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Maintaining and continually improving HSEQ management systems and processes.
• Ensuring compliance with WA WHS legislation and relevant standards.
• Delivering safety training, inductions and toolbox presentations.
• Monitoring HSE performance and reporting to senior management.
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Mentoring and supporting site-based HSE personnel where required.

About You 

• Previous experience as an HSE Manager or Senior HSE Advisor within commercial construction.
• Experience working for a principal contractor on commercial building projects.
• Strong knowledge of WA WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading investigations, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to influence, coach and build positive relationships across all levels of a business.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and current HSE certifications.
