Health & Safety Officer – Residential Construction 2-Month Contract | $100M Residential Project | ASAP Start
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a leading large-scale builder on a $100M residential construction project.
This is a short-term contract opportunity for a safety professional who is confident working in a large, complex residential construction environment and can hit the ground running.
The Role Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant site environment throughout the project.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting regular site safety inspections and audits
• Monitoring compliance with WHS legislation, project requirements and company procedures
• Identifying hazards and implementing appropriate corrective actions
• Supporting site teams with safety advice and guidance
• Assisting with toolbox talks, inductions and safety meetings
• Managing safety documentation, reports and records
• Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Working closely with subcontractors and site personnel to promote a strong safety culture
• Supporting the project team with ongoing WHS requirements

About You To be considered, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer within large-scale residential construction
• Previous experience working on large residential building projects
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and practical approach to site safety
• The ability to work confidently with site teams, subcontractors and management
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Relevant WHS qualifications
