The Company
This well-established and highly respected Tier 2 contractor has recently been awarded a marine infrastructure upgrade project located approximately 2 hours south of Melbourne. The project has a 12-month duration, operating Monday to Friday, with accommodation provided
Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor on major infrastructure or marine projects will be highly regarded.
 
The Role
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will take full ownership of HSEQ systems and site safety performance, playing a key role in driving a proactive safety culture across the project.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and administering project safety systems and processes
  • Driving a strong, safety-first culture across all site activities
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance with WHS, Injury Management, and QA requirements
  • Reporting directly to the HSEQ Director
  • Managing and inputting OH&S data into the Incident Management System
  • Leading risk assessments and implementing effective control measures
  • Interpreting and applying relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Developing and executing best practice HSEQ initiatives
The Person
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or senior HSEQ role
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience on civil, infrastructure, or marine projects
  • Strong knowledge of WorkCover and Injury Management processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Valid driver's licence
