About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Import Sea Freight Forwarder to join a high-performing operations team within a fast-paced logistics environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing import sea freight shipments end-to-end, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely freight solutions in line with customer expectations and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage import sea freight shipments from origin through to delivery
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure clear and timely communication
  • Process shipment files accurately and efficiently in line with SOPs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate bookings, documentation, and milestone tracking across all shipments
  • Use freight systems to enter, maintain, and update shipment data
  • Monitor and resolve operational issues including documentation, weight discrepancies, costs, and delays
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial and operational records
  • Work closely with internal teams to support workflow efficiency and service delivery
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational enhancements
  • Assist senior team members with daily operational tasks and project work
About You
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, import/export operations, or a similar logistics role
  • Strong understanding of international shipping processes and compliance requirements
  • Experience using freight management systems (CargoWise experience highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to issue resolution
