We are seeking an experienced Import Sea Freight Forwarder to join a high-performing operations team within a fast-paced logistics environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing import sea freight shipments end-to-end, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely freight solutions in line with customer expectations and operational standards.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Import Sea Freight Forwarder to join a high-performing operations team within a fast-paced logistics environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing import sea freight shipments end-to-end, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely freight solutions in line with customer expectations and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import sea freight shipments from origin through to delivery
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure clear and timely communication
- Process shipment files accurately and efficiently in line with SOPs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate bookings, documentation, and milestone tracking across all shipments
- Use freight systems to enter, maintain, and update shipment data
- Monitor and resolve operational issues including documentation, weight discrepancies, costs, and delays
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial and operational records
- Work closely with internal teams to support workflow efficiency and service delivery
- Contribute to process improvements and operational enhancements
- Assist senior team members with daily operational tasks and project work
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, import/export operations, or a similar logistics role
- Strong understanding of international shipping processes and compliance requirements
- Experience using freight management systems (CargoWise experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
