We’re looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business known for producing high-quality packaging solutions in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hourly and wants to maximise earnings through consistent overtime.
The Role
As a skilled FMCG Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter, you will undertake a wide variety of tasks ranging from project work and installations through to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across plant and machinery.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of plant equipment
• Maintenance of plant and equipment including preventative maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Process improvement of plant and equipment
• Pipework and valves
• Process pumps
• Screw and belt conveyors
• Pneumatics and hydraulics
• Operate and service packaging machinery
• Provide technical support to the production team
• Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, and GMP standards
Experience:
• Trade qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience within packaging or high-speed production lines highly regarded
• Experience using CMMS systems
• Hands-on with an enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter within a team environment
• Forklift licence is an advantage
