We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join a well-established national logistics and transport operation based in Forrestfield. This is a fast-paced operational role responsible for coordinating drivers, scheduling freight movements, monitoring fleet activity, and ensuring compliance with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
This position plays a key role in ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining strong communication across drivers, operations, customers, and maintenance teams.

We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join a well-established national logistics and transport operation based in Forrestfield. This is a fast-paced operational role responsible for coordinating drivers, scheduling freight movements, monitoring fleet activity, and ensuring compliance with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
This position plays a key role in ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining strong communication across drivers, operations, customers, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily fleet scheduling and dispatch activities
- Monitor vehicle movements and respond to delays, breakdowns, or urgent freight requirements
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers throughout shifts
- Ensure compliance with fatigue management, load restraint, and CoR regulations
- Liaise with depot operations, customers, subcontractors, and maintenance providers
- Support route optimisation and fleet utilisation initiatives
- Maintain accurate transport, compliance, and maintenance records
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and operational escalations
- Work closely with planning and operations teams to meet service expectations
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in fleet coordination, transport scheduling, or dispatch
- Strong understanding of Australian heavy vehicle regulations, fatigue management, and CoR requirements
- Experience working within high-volume transport or logistics operations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in time-critical situations
- Strong organisational and multitasking capability
- Competent computer skills across Microsoft Office and transport systems
- A proactive, team-oriented, and safety-focused mindset
- Exposure to fleet management or transport dispatch software
- Heavy vehicle licence (HR/HC/MC)
- Experience coordinating heavy vehicle fleets and driver compliance
