Job description

Our client was established in 2020 as a statutory state-owned corporation and is the legal owner of an extensive portfolio of railway assets, including track, signals, power systems, rolling stock, stations and platforms and significant land holdings around stations within metropolitan and regional NSW.

The Opportunity:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide high level, confidential, executive support to the Chief Financial Officer. This includes managing efficient administrative systems and processes to support effective time management, liaison on behalf of senior executive management within the organisation,
and the co-ordination and submission of briefs and reports.

Key accountabilities:
• Contribute to achieving effectiveness of senior executive management by identifying, prioritising and determining urgency of the critical issues for management’s attention and support
• Provide high level executive administrative support to the CFO including the research and preparation of confidential briefing notes, ministerial and memoranda to ensure completion within specified timeframes
• Organise meetings and conferences for senior executive management, including booking venues,sending invitations, and preparing agendas and meeting documentation
• Calendar and Inbox triage and management, ensuring important communications are raised with the CFO in a timely manner.
• Managing the CFO and their team to ensure that the business needs are met in a proficient and timely manner
• Understanding critical or politically sensitive issues which may require the immediate attention of Senior executive management and/or the Minister
• Process p-card transactions for the Chief Financial Officer

Key knowledge and experience:
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages 
  • Australian working rights 
  • Previous C-Suite experience is essential.
