A well-established specialist contractor operating within the commercial construction sector is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.
Working across a diverse range of commercial projects, the business delivers high-quality architectural systems including wall and ceiling solutions, acoustic treatments, partitions, linings, and bespoke interior construction packages.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, an opportunity exists for a commercially minded estimator with relevant experience in commercial construction, fit-out, interiors, ceilings, partitions, drywall, cladding, or architectural systems.
  
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with project delivery and operations teams.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications, and construction drawings
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis
• Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Assist with tender negotiations and project handovers
• Maintain estimating databases and cost benchmarks

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous estimating experience within commercial construction
• Experience pricing architectural wall and ceiling systems, partitions, linings, fit-out works, cladding, or related construction packages
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and building processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High attention to detail and commercial awareness

  
Highly Regarded

• Experience within ceilings, partitions, drywall, façade, cladding, acoustic, or interior systems sectors
• Trade, construction management, quantity surveying, or estimating qualifications
• Experience pricing projects ranging from $100K to multi-million-dollar commercial packages
• Exposure to both negotiated and competitive tender environments
