Contract Estimator – Commercial Fit Out Projects (6-Week Contract)

About the Company
We’re a busy and fast-growing fit out builder based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. We deliver high-quality commercial projects for a range of clients across office, retail, and hospitality sectors. Due to a strong pipeline of work, we’re seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a short-term contract basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on estimating role where you’ll work closely with our project and pre-construction teams to support tender submissions and pricing for upcoming fit out projects. You’ll be working from our CBD office alongside a collaborative and supportive group of professionals.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit out projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor quotations
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing
• Assist in value engineering and cost planning exercises
• Support the team in managing deadlines and multiple tenders

About You

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an Estimator within the commercial fit out or construction sector
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, trade packages, and cost breakdowns
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Available to commence immediately and commit to a 6-week contract
