Environmental Advisor - Contract Opportunity
Major Transport Infrastructure Project | Immediate Start | 8-12 Week Contract
CGC Recruitment are currently partnering with a National Main Tier Contractor delivering a complex major transport infrastructure project and are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join the team on a short-term contract basis.
This is a site-based role supporting the Environmental Manager with the day-to-day environmental management and compliance activities across a large-scale civil infrastructure project.

Working closely with project delivery teams, the successful candidate will provide practical environmental support across construction activities while ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

The Role
Working closely with project delivery teams, the successful candidate will provide practical environmental support across construction activities while ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Daily environmental inspections and site monitoring
- Supporting environmental compliance and reporting requirements
- Managing environmental incidents and corrective actions
- Assisting with erosion and sediment control inspections
- Environmental documentation, records management and reporting
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders
- Supporting environmental audits and toolbox talks
- Assisting with PFAS-related environmental management activities
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a site-based Environmental Advisor role within civil construction
- Previous experience working for a Civil Contractor on road construction projects
- Strong understanding of TMR requirements and specifications
- Exposure to PFAS management and environmental controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced construction environment
- Relevant environmental qualifications
