Electrician

Job description

About the role

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established fire protection business operating across Greater Sydney. This is a specialist electrical trade role for someone who knows fire systems — and wants to build long-term expertise.

The work is varied, the client base is solid, and there's a full pipeline across both regions. If you hold your NSW electrical licence and have hands-on experience with fire detection or life safety systems, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing
  • Installing fire alarm panels, detection systems, and emergency/exit lighting across commercial, industrial, and residential sites
  • Carrying out routine servicing, testing, and scheduled maintenance of installed fire systems
  • Diagnosing faults across alarm circuits, detection devices, and emergency lighting units, and completing repairs to a high standard
  • Completing job records, test certificates, and compliance documentation in line with Australian Standards
What you need (essential)
  • NSW Electrical Contractor or Tradesperson Licence
  • Electrical trade qualifications (Certificate III or higher)
  • Hands-on experience with fire detection or life safety systems
  • Current driver's licence
Highly regarded
  • Fire systems accreditation or endorsement
  • Familiarity with AS 1670 standards
  • Experience with major panel brands (e.g. Notifier, Ampac etc)
  • White Card (General Construction Induction)
What's on offer
  • Competitive trade rates based on experience
  • Company vehicle provided for field work
  • Stable, permanent full-time role with consistent work
  • Supportive team with real scope for progression
  • Work across both Sydney and the Hunter region
