Design Manager – Health Project 2-Month Contract | Builder | Tender Stage | ASAP Start
A leading builder is looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their team on a 2-month contract to support the tendering of an upcoming Health project.
This is a great opportunity for a Design Manager with strong tender and pre-construction experience to step into a short-term contract and make an immediate impact.
The Role Working closely with the project and estimating teams, you will assist with the design and technical aspects of the tender, ensuring the project is well positioned prior to award.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing design coordination throughout the tender process
• Reviewing architectural, engineering and consultant documentation
• Coordinating consultants and design stakeholders
• Identifying design issues, risks and potential buildability concerns
• Providing design input into the tender and estimating process
• Reviewing documentation for completeness and constructability
• Assisting with design development and value management
• Working closely with the Estimating and Project teams
• Supporting the preparation of tender submissions

About You We are looking for a Design Manager with previous experience working for a head contractor/builder, ideally with exposure to Health, Commercial, Institutional or complex building projects.
You will ideally have:

• Previous Design Manager experience with a builder
• Strong tender / pre-construction experience
• Health project experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of design coordination and constructability
• Ability to review and interpret architectural and engineering documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to hit the ground running in a short-term contract
