Key Responsibilities
As a Design Manager, you will lead the design process using our proven framework to integrate buildability, sustainability, and innovation into every project.
  • Lead End-to-End Design: Meticulously manage the design process from initial concept and ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) through to construction documentation.
  • Sector Excellence: Apply specialized knowledge to diverse builds, ensuring compliance with high-care standards in Health and Aged Care, or technical requirements in Industrial and Education facilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary link between clients, architects, and engineering consultants to ensure the vision aligns with project budgets and timelines.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for innovation and cost-saving without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Risk & Compliance: Oversee statutory approvals and ensure all designs adhere to rigorous safety and environmental standards.
About You
We are looking for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, relationship-first environment.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Design Manager within the commercial building sector, specifically with exposure to Education, Health, or Retirement Living projects.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Technical Edge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, buildability, and the "Design and Construct" (D&C) delivery model.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to manage consultant networks and articulate complex design requirements to site teams and clients.
