Northern suburbs location (head office based)
$200,000 - $270,000 + super (depending on experience)
A well-established contractor delivering major infrastructure across civil, resources, and defence sectors is seeking an experienced Controls Manager to join their corporate team.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing project controls across a diverse portfolio, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and performance in planning, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.

A well-established contractor delivering major infrastructure across civil, resources, and defence sectors is seeking an experienced Controls Manager to join their corporate team.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing project controls across a diverse portfolio, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and performance in planning, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will:
- Lead and standardise project controls functions across multiple projects
- Oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting
- Drive accurate forecasting and financial governance across the portfolio
- Support project teams with best-practice systems, tools, and processes
- Provide strategic insights to improve project delivery outcomes
- Ensure alignment with contract requirements, risk frameworks, and value engineering principles
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project controls, cost management, or governance within civil, engineering, or resources sectors
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams and systems
- Strong expertise in planning and scheduling, with hands-on use of Primavera P6 and MS Project (essential)
- Solid understanding of contract conditions, risk management, and value engineering
- Proven ability to operate at a corporate/portfolio level across multiple projects
- Key leadership role within a growing and respected contractor
