Job description
Our client is the leading transport agency in New South Wales and they are currently seeking a Contracts Manager for an contract role with immediate start.
The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing a range of facilities management contracts, subcontracts and commercial leases across the lifecycle, including managing relationships with suppliers, driving ongoing improvements and managing the performance of contracts to ensure that all contracts meet commercial, probity, risk management and operational requirements.

Key accountabilities
- Plan and manage contract negotiations in the establishment, review, and renewal of supply arrangements, as well as for claims/disputes, providing specialist advice on the formulation of contract clauses.
- Manage the performance of contracts, adhering to a regular cadence of contract management meetings with suppliers, working closely with the Facilities Management team to review monthly reporting, track KPIs and progress on key improvement initiatives, and manage risks and issues proactively.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, resolve issues as they arise and maximise value from the contract
- Contribute to key procurement activities such as providing advice and preparing high-quality documentation for RFQs and RFTs, RFIs and tender evaluations.
- Maintain accurate contract management data on activities, contract performance and pipeline, to inform commercial and performance reporting.
- Identify and implement opportunities to continually improve contract management systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure that contracts and agreements meet ethical standards and comply with the AWS contract management framework, as well as all relevant legislation, TfNSW policies and Government requirements
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the formulation and negotiation of commercial contracts, contract management and dispute resolution.
- Sound knowledge of commercial and contract law, public sector statutory requirements, ethical and equitable considerations.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or equivalent experience
