Contracts Manager

I'm currently partnering with a highly respected national head contractor to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager for their growing Melbourne Interiors team.

The role is predominantly office-based, working closely with Project Managers and Commercial Leaders to drive the commercial success of multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the full subcontract procurement and contract administration process.
  • Negotiating subcontract agreements and mitigating contractual risk.
  • Administering progress claims, variations, RFIs and payment schedules.
  • Supporting project financial performance through forecasting, reporting and cost control.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Mentoring junior team members while promoting best practice across safety, quality and project delivery.
What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager with a commercial head contractor.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a thorough understanding of subcontract management and contract administration.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • A construction-related qualification (or equivalent industry experience).
