We’re working with a leading national commercial builder delivering high-profile projects across WA, and they’re looking to bring on an intermediate-level Contract Administrator to support their growing Perth pipeline.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to delivery, working within a high-performing site-based team on complex, well-structured projects.

The Role

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused Contract Administrator position, where you’ll play a key role in the commercial success of a live project from early procurement right through to final account.

Working closely with an experienced Project Manager and Site Manager, you’ll be embedded in the day-to-day running of the job, actively contributing to how the project is delivered.

Key responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end subcontract management – from scope preparation, tendering, levelling and award through to ongoing administration
  • Procurement strategy input – working with the delivery team to package works effectively and drive best value outcomes
  • Cost control & forecasting – maintaining budgets, tracking commitments, and providing accurate financial reporting to the project team
  • Variations & claims management – assessing, negotiating, and finalising variations with both clients and subcontractors
  • Progress claims & payments – managing subcontractor claims, certifying payments, and ensuring commercial obligations are met
  • Head contract administration support – assisting with EOTs, notices, and client-side commercial requirements
  • Commercial risk management – identifying risks early and working with the team to mitigate exposure
  • Site engagement – working closely with site teams to ensure procurement and commercial decisions align with programme and buildability
You’ll be given real ownership of packages, with the support of a strong senior team, making this an ideal role for someone looking to step up and further develop their commercial capability on more complex projects.

What They’re Looking For
  • 3–7 years’ experience in a Contract Administrator role within commercial construction
  • Background working for a head contractor (Tier 1 or 2 preferred)
  • Strong understanding of procurement, cost control, and subcontract management
  • Delivery-focused mindset – someone who enjoys being on-site and part of the build
  • Clear communicator who can build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams
