The Role – Contract Administrator - Intermediate level

Working under a veteran Contracts Manager you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a $300M Defence project by managing the contractual and financial aspects until project completion. You will join an established team based on site in Sydney’s west. A prequalification for the role is that you have ideally worked on Defence contracts before but are an Australian Citizen that can undertake a background check. 
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and administering head contracts and subcontract agreements
  • Managing procurement, variations, progress claims and payment schedules
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management frameworks
  • Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and commercial advice to the Project Manager and wider team
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting dispute resolution and negotiation to achieve fair, timely outcomes
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within tier one or two sector with demonstrated experience on Defence 
  • Solid knowledge of Australian Standard and HC Defence contracts
  • Strong financial acumen and reporting skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering,  or a related discipline
