Our client is a state Government organisation within the Transport sector who have recently identified an urgent need for a Civil Engineer to join the organisation on a long-term contract basis. You will be involved providing a high level of engineering & technical advice and support to the Senior Manager Civil Engineering and Network Base team, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the rail network. In addition to this you will be tasked with evaluation asset condition reports and inspection data to ensure all major risks identified are managed in a timely manner and have effective controls in place for the safe operation of rail traffic.
 
We are actively looking to speak with tertiary qualified engineers experience in Rail Track asset management, maintenance, construction and commissioning works in an operational environment. You must also possess a high level of understanding of maintenance engineering principles and their application to maintenance and operations, including an understanding of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice.
 
The role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to work across technically challenging rail maintenance works with a team of highly experienced multi-disciplined rail experts. This role is an immediate contract requirement with a strong possibility of extension.
