Job description

This Global civil company is acknowledged as a leader in their industry and a company that attracts and retains their staff. They currently have numerous projects throughout Australia and are in the process of adding to what is already considered as a progressive and industry leading team.  

They are currently delivering a $250M RMS bridge project close to Yamba. Responsibilities for the role would involve:-
  • Have experience on major infrastructure works, ideally with some exposure to Civil Construction projects
  • Have detailed experience working for a Contracting organisation within a Contract Management role
    Preparing and administering subcontracts, including defining the scope and conditions;
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce or Business;
  • Have strong organisational skills in order to be able to manage your time and plan effectively in a fast paced, diverse and changing environment
  • Have exceptional communication skills will be one of your key strengths, in particular your ability to negotiate and influence others at a variety of levels of business will be key to your success
  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Have confidence in your decision making ability, particularly the ability to think outside of the square, problem solve and act accordingly.
  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions;
  • Preparing progress and assessment claims;
This is an autonomous role and you will need to have a reputation with the RMS as a top class operator. The role requires a driven individual that can handle the pressures of project timeliness, in addition you will have the support of a management team with genuine possibilities for career progression into a more senior role as this business goes from strength to strength.
