Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding Melbourne | Hybrid Working | Uncapped Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, global freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across their Australian operation. This role is ideal for a commercially driven operator who enjoys being client-facing, identifying opportunities and converting new business across air, sea and supply chain solutions.
This is not a farming role — we are looking for someone who enjoys the chase, loves building pipelines and is motivated by winning new accounts.

The Role You will be responsible for:
  • Driving new business development across freight forwarding and logistics solutions
  • Identifying, targeting and winning new customers across key industry sectors
  • Building and managing a strong sales pipeline through proactive BD activity
  • Meeting clients face-to-face, understanding supply chain pain points and presenting tailored solutions
  • Working closely with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Developing long-term strategic relationships while maintaining a strong commercial focus
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Business Development / Sales experience within Freight Forwarding or Logistics
  • Strong understanding of Air Freight, Sea Freight and Supply Chain solutions
  • A genuine hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business
  • Highly client-facing with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially astute and driven by results
  • Existing industry network highly regarded
