Job description

The Company: 
  • Were actively seeking Bid Manager for our client who purely work with state and federal government sector organisations delivering fit out / refurbishment and new build projects ranging from $500k to $40m operating across QLD, ACT and NSW.    
  • They have excellent relationship with the ATO, DoD, Housing and Parliamentary Services to name a few and they're winning a huge amount of work across all three states.  
  • Although the company is relatively small with a $50m turnover and 130 staff, they pack a punch in terms of their ability to deliver.
  • The business itself has been born out of highly regarded building professionals coming for tier one and tier two contractors so they excellent systems without all the red tape and bureaucracy tier 1 builders can have.  
The Role:
  • In this role you'll have a holistic approach to pulling a bid together focusing on the end user and how you can offer the best solution to their space / building / project, its not about the cheapest rate its about the whole process / story and being a delivery partner.
  • The role will be to get the bid to 80% / 90% then working with the General Manager and Commercial Manager to finalise the 10/20%
  • Naturally the role will encompass estimating however we are looking for someone who has a vested interest in the project and can really understand the bigger picture. Methodology, cost, value engineering, program and most importantly understanding the client requirements, offering solutions, options and value add. 
  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager who is professional and highly skilled person – in saying this the company has great people across the business where the culture is extremely strong and collaborative. 
  • You'll work with a Contract Administrator who will assist with the grunt work, your role will be pulling the teams and bid together from a strategic and high level point of view. 
  • Paying circa $170k which would be negotiable for the right person.
