We’re recruiting for a well-established FMCG manufacturer experiencing strong growth and therefore looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Supervisor to lead their afternoon shift team in a permanent role.
This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership position, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while genuinely making an impact on equipment reliability and team performance.
  
✅ What You’ll Be Doing

• Preventative & breakdown maintenance across production machinery
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
• Working on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors & pneumatics
• Leading and supervising a team of 4 maintenance fitters on afternoon shift
• Allocating daily work and supporting effective shift prioritisation
• Ensuring breakdown response is efficient and downtime is minimised
• Supporting plant upgrades and continuous improvement projects
• Driving safety standards and best practice across the shift
• Completing maintenance reporting through CMMS systems
• Working closely with production, engineering, and day shift maintenance teams

  
✅ What We’re Looking For

• Trade Qualified Maintenance / Mechanical Fitter
• Proven manufacturing or FMCG maintenance experience
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step up)
• Experience in high-speed automated manufacturing environments highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance capability
• Confident communicator with the ability to lead a small team
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Safety-first mindset and reliable team player
