Joel Sykes is a Senior Consultant within CGC Recruitment’s Perth team, specialising in SMP recruitment across Western Australia’s FIFO mining and resources sector. He joined CGC in 2025, bringing previous recruitment experience from the UK where he focused on engineering and manufacturing appointments with Hays.
Prior to moving into recruitment, Joel worked in operational and logistics-focused positions with Liverpool City Council, giving him practical exposure to workforce coordination and operational environments. This experience complements his recruitment background and provides a strong understanding of the requirements of fast-moving, project-driven industries.
Joel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Liverpool John Moores University and is focused on supporting contractors and clients across the SMP market throughout Western Australia.
