Welcome to a bumper issue newsletter (Feb Mar). In this issue we’ll give you an update on the Trades desk and Glynis will fill you in on what’s been happening socially.

Trades Construction Market

The Sydney construction market really couldn’t get any better at the moment, the CBD alone has more than $4.8 Billions worth of projects live at present and it shows no signs of slowing down with even more projects set to start in the imminent future, with this in mind the decision was made in 2017 for CGC to create a new division & tailor make a new service for current and future clients.

Major property development projects in the Sydney Central Business District

The blue collar labour hire division here at CGC is still very much in its infancy, but that has not stopped it from getting extremely busy very quickly, with the vast amount of civil projects commencing around Sydney we have managed to add value and growth to our client base continuously.

We have noticed a massive increase in the need for plant operators for major infrastructure projects specifically within the Western Suburbs of Sydney with new projects like Northern Road, Badgerys Creek & Various large scale RMS project upgrades swallowing up a large chunk of available operatives throughout the region.

Our main focus over the coming months will be on candidate generation & retention, we have managed to secure a number of large scale projects which we hope will enable us to really cement our name in the Regions Labour hire market.

Happy CGC Anniversary Carmel Jones – two years has flown! And David Hope marked SIX years with us. Dan celebrated 3 years and Jaymie, Stewart and Ollie have now been with us a year.

Last Friday we had our first EOQ event for the year, which saw us high flying on the trapeze at Sydney Trapeze School! CGC Recruitment consultants on gymnastics

It was awesome to see everyone facing their fears, getting out of their comfort zone and taking the plunge off a tiny platform way up high, swinging for their life. Well done to Azri, Danyelle, Glynis, Steve, John and Nic who all made ‘the catch’. Azri was like some kind of ninja on the static trapeze showing his strength and prowess whilst Nick looked on in awe at the same time as making a galant effort.

After our circus experience we headed for lunch to the Bach Eatery in Newtown for some delicious NZ inspired seafood. We then spent the evening at Holey Moley for some crazy golf and karaoke shenanigans. Thanks to Nick and Jim for enabling a wonderful celebration.
